I am 16 and my parents won’t let me take driving lessons. I have decided to pay for the lessons myself. I have found this one place which costs $350 for lessons. The only problem with that is I only have $40. The class starts on may 12th and I want to know quick ways to get the $310.

People who have passed in the last few years would help me better but anyone realy who has passed their driving test.
I’m wanting to know how many lessons of 1 hour(2 hours counts as 2) lessons you had before you went in for your first driving test. Not how many you had before you passed.
Thanks in advance

The job Centre us to help with driving lessons costs to help people back into employment. Now however they have stopped doing so it was mentioned to me if i previously had drug or alcohol problems then maybe they could help however as i have had no problems such as just mentioned then they couldn’t. isn’t this surely wrong?

I am 17 and have never even started a car or even moved it a single metre.
Any one else out there who had similar situation?
What do you think how many lessons will I need to take before being able to drive properly and take the practical exam?
I have done my theory already.

Years ago, when I passed my driving test it took me a long time to get used to driving at night, partly because I hadn’t been able to book lessons in the evening and partly because of the differences.
Also very few drivers seem to know how to safely drive on snowy or icy roads, I’ve seen some awful driving from drivers who don’t seem to know how to drive in heavy rain or wind.
My Dad taught me how to cope with poor weather conditions, while I was learning to drive, but my driving instructors never gave me any advice on the subject. I understand that severe weather conditions don’t crop up too often, but still.
