I want to start taking driving lessons but can’t afford to pay a professional instructor. I’ve asked my cousin to help me out with this. Can someone please tell me what is required when I go for my test? Will I be asked to go on dual carriageways at more than 30mph? I’m a little scared I won’t be able to deal with very busy roads. I want to know a little more about what manoeuvres are involved and how to deal with them, for example the emergency stop.

I would like to learn how to drive a stick shift car so that I can purchase one that is manual. Currently I drive an automatic. I’ve been looking online for schools in the bay area but no such luck. I live in Oakland I prefer a place within 20 mile radius and a place that have a car for you to practice driving in.

I was just wondering. It seems an awful lot. She drives about half an hour to pick me up and she’s really nice.
